Latrina earned a Masters in Counselor Education degree in May 2006 from Gardner Webb University and was licensed as a professional counselor in September 2007. She has practiced as an Licensed Therapist within the community and in private practice settings. These clinical experiences have provided the privilege of meeting many dynamic people. Latrina has supervised interns and associate professionals since 2009 and genuinely enjoys learning from and developing fellow colleagues. She has a love and passion for working with children and families and recently began treating adults due to the demand in mental health care. Her use of evidence-based practices and personal flavor for has been effective in the treatment of behavioral and emotional disorders. Her philosophy to supervision is that learning is a life-long experience and the best opportunities for personal and professional development is through real life situations and relationships. She is certified as a Mental Health & Nutrition Clinical Specialist. She has also been Certified in Trauma-Focused CBT and the treatment of Sexual Aggressive Youth as well as. This work has required good working relationships with families and community stakeholders such as Social Services, Law Enforcement, Justice Systems, Guardian Ad Litems, Forensic Evaluators, Primary Care Physicians, Inpatient Treatment Settings, Managed Care Organizations and other mental health providers. Through these interactions we have established the purpose of the agency to making every home a safe and supportive environment.
